SUMMARY:
INTRODUCTION: Despite the progress in reducing social inequities, it is observed that portions of the population are still marginalized in issues related to access to health services, including oral health services. This part of the population includes people with some type of mental disorder, which was already mentioned in the Caracas Declaration (WHO, 1990), which is relevant in health care and in the restructuring of psychiatric care linked to primary health care. In this context, dentistry has the possibility to create new concepts and bonds between the subjects. Thus, there is much to be researched in the area of mental health and access to health services, especially in relation to the strategic role that CAPS has played in mental health, the articulation of the network with health services and dental services, in an attempt to provide improved access to services for the mentally ill population. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study is to analyze CAPS users' access to oral health care in the light of the collective subject's discourse, taking into account some layers of the SDH to formulate the discussions. METHOD: This is a research with descriptive, exploratory approach of qualitative type. The collection was performed at CAPS II Chiquita Bacana, located in the city of Santa Cruz-RN, with 12 service users and 12 family members who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the sample. The technique was a semi-structured interview applied at the same time with both individuals. The speeches collected regarding the access to oral health services are being organized according to Lefreve (2006), extracting the Central Ideas (CI) and their corresponding Key Expressions (ECH) in order to compose one or several summary speeches that are the Discourses. of the Collective Subject. PRELIMINARY RESULTS: All content regarding the sociodemographic elements of the interviewed users and family members were placed in a box, containing information regarding: age, gender identity, marital status, education, religion and reason for follow-up in CAPS and all statements were transcribed. , read and are now being released in the software, divided according to the questions asked.
