SUMMARY:

The species Isoetes cangae is among the plant species classified by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as a critically endangered species. This is due to the fact that I. cangae is located in the Carajás region, specifically in an area subject to mining. In order to find tools that help in the management of this species to a safe place, this work uses a proteomic approach to evaluate the stress responses to the adaptation of this plant in different places of cultivation. The process involves cultivation of the species, extraction, reduction and digestion of proteins. Then there was the identification of proteins by liquid chromatography After this process carried out entirely on the bench, there were statistical and bioinformatics analyses. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the masses of the proteins isolated in the species cultivated in the different lakes, however, until the present moment, no statistically significant differences were observed between the proteins associated with the environmental response of the two lakes.
