SUMMARY:

Chemistry is a science whose concepts are constantly changing, and which always have a relationship with our daily lives. Considering the great empirical experimental performance in the role of helping to develop and consolidate this science, we must consider the need to apply experimental practices in its teaching. However, the student still has difficulties in associating scientific theory with phenomena observed in everyday life, making the chemistry discipline something distant and complicated, which often only leads to memorizing formulas and reactions, demotivating it. As a solution to overcome this situation, some authors recommend that at the beginning of the experimental practice the teacher presents a problem situation that is of interest to the students and that he is encouraged to decipher such a puzzle. Since the practical activities associated with the context, using an investigative approach, their realization will be relevant and pleasurable for the student. In the essay of softening an empiricist-inductivist view integrated with the experimental activities, in order to allow an active participation of the students in the knowledge construction process, the present research seeks to develop a didactic sequence, accompanied by orientations and investigative experimental scripts. It can help the students to deepen and work the knowledge about the reactions of thermochemical nature, applying the investigative experimental activities related to the phenomena. The study is being developed as a qualitative research, applied with students of the second year of high school of E.E.M. Gonzaga da Fonseca Mota, located in the city of Quixadá, Ceará. Data collection is being done through open questionnaire, closed questionnaire (likert) and pedagogical test. The educational product will consist of a booklet containing didactic guidelines for teachers with regency in high school chemistry. The research is in the analysis phase of the applied material, where it is intended to explore the skills and competences manifested and acquired by the research subjects, from the use of investigative experimental scripts.
