SUMMARY:

For the comprehension of chemistry to contribute significantly to the teaching and learning process, the educator must have other pedagogical tools besides the pragmatic ones. The use of experimentation and audiovisual media are considered by researchers in education as important strategies in this process. This is because students can experiment with theoretical concepts in practice and use digital media that naturally already have some domain. Therefore, diversification in chemistry teaching tends to minimize classroom heterogeneity, developing better participation and knowledge in a continuous assessment process. This work, supported by socioconstructivism and references of evaluation processes, aims to analyze the contributions of experimentation, along with audiovisual productions, in the teaching of thermochemistry. The educational product is focused on teaching guidance for high school teachers, using an application developed in this work. Participants are students from a 2nd grade technical high school class at the Vocational Education School. Walquer Cavalcante Maia, located in the municipality of Russas-CE. The research was carried out in seven meetings, divided into three stages. In the first stage there were meetings that involved contextualized introduction, illustrative experimentation in the classroom, dialogued exposition of concepts, resolution and correction of activities. In the second stage, there were meetings for experimentation, audiovisual production by students and mediation involving the analysis of the videos produced. The third stage takes place with one for the display of the videos and subsequent discussion about the experiments and at the last meeting, the theme studied and the proposed teaching proposal were evaluated. The methodology has been promising, when checking the evaluation of the teaching proposal, a percentage of 73% strongly agree that experimentation was an important resource in the development of scientific knowledge. Regarding the use of audiovisual media use, 67.3% strongly agreed that there was a significant contribution to understanding the content. Analyzing the discussion after viewing the videos, 78.4% strongly agreed that it was important to strengthen the knowledge acquired during the process. At a preliminary glance, from the video analysis and discussion, there is strong indication of progress in development and contribution to learning.
