The process of teaching and learning in chemistry is still considered a great challenge for many teachers and students, who live with the difficulties faced by the student in relation to this discipline that presents a high degree of complexity and difficulty of understanding. For these reasons, the search for didactic resources that facilitate the understanding of the content of this subject is essential. In this sense, this study aimed to develop a didactic sequence on the content development rate of the reaction, "chemical kinetics", using topics such as food, environment, fuel chemistry and catalysis, in addition to elaborating and using an educational game as a tool teaching and learning aid. The research will be qualitative and the choice of this theme was due to the difficulty of understanding and abstraction of the students in relation to some concepts and, in addition to many teachers who find difficulty in approach because of the character both empirical and abstract. The use of the didactic sequence motivated a better configuration of the organization of the contents, as proposed by Zabala (1998). On the other hand, the didactic game is a way for the student to acquire knowledge through alternative methods to traditional teaching models, incorporating playful characteristics of the games to concepts and contents, which potentiate the discussion of ideas, as Soares (2008) points out in "Play activities in chemistry teaching". The work was applied in two classes of the second grade of high school, and began with a didactic sequence of four blocks, two classes each block, making a total of eight classes. We used textbooks, videos, news stories, Phet simulator and space for dialogue, involving daily issues and local and global contextualization. Then, two classes were used for the application of the Educational game "Paths of reaction", which was divided into themes equal to those of the didactic sequence. Data were collected through classroom recordings, field diaries and forms. For data analysis and treatment, the data triangulation technique will be used, aiming to cover the maximum amplitude in the description, explanation and understanding of the study focus, in qualitative research. It was possible to notice an excellent performance in the application of the didactic sequence with the first results obtained from the applied forms, as well as the clear perception of the modifying role of the educational game that provides singular moments in the classroom.
