RESUMO:

The theme chosen for this work: gender and feminism in the teaching of history has its relevance based on the gap that exists in class and textbooks of History on feminist and feminist struggles in various historical contexts. Women still remain invisible in the discipline History, they simply do not appear or appear in summary form in textbooks and consequently in history classes and this produces inequalities, girls do not see themselves in that history, it is always men who make the decisions or "Give" the rights to women, this has to do with relations of power in society. It is up to us teachers to analyze these issues in the books and to construct with the students critical readings, discussing the power relations inserted in the approaches of the books and didactic materials. The contents and the school are permeated by stereotypes that are part of our lives, in advertisements, magazines, newspapers, novels, and it is not easy to notice when we reproduce these stereotypes, especially in school this care must be redoubled in order not to teach from a single perspective of gender, culture, ethnic, etc. For a quest to address the inequalities between men and women in our society, it is to give due importance to the women's movements, if it is the current task of teachers and teachers, since it is a subject that needs to be increasingly debated, feminism is Still very poorly understood by a large portion of the population, given what we read in social networks on the subject, feminism needs to be debated as a social movement, necessary for historical ruptures. Working the gender relations and feminism in the teaching of history becomes relevant so that the students can build new relations around the content that is little explicit in the textbooks. The intention is for students to get out of common sense about what feminism is and to think from their daily lives the different forms of struggles of women in Brazil and in the world, based on the procedure of historical education, which takes As a starting point the previous knowledge of the students.
