Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that have influenced the managers’ and
secretaries’ satisfaction with the use of the report issued by SIPAC. For this, the
specific objectives were reached: characterizing the profile of the budget statement
use; describing the perception of the sample regarding factors that have influence
satisfaction; identifying the relationship between the variables of the model and the
satisfaction and analyzing the perception of the users regarding the improvement
aspects of the report. The initial theoretical contribution was the user satisfaction
model by Doll and Torkzadeh (1988). Methodology used was a quantitative approach,
although one of the questions was analyzed in a qualitative way. The application of a
questionnaire was included in a non-random sample of 79 managers and secretaries
belonging to the academic departments located at the UFRN Central Campus. The
technique used to analyze the quantitative data was main component analysis and
multiple regression and, for the qualitative analysis, the word cloud was used. Among
the results obtained, it was verified that 30.8% of the sample has used the report at
least once a month and 28.2% never used the report. Besides, it was confirmed that,
for the most part, respondents are partially satisfied with the factors that influence
satisfaction. It was evidenced that the variables that had the greatest influence on
satisfaction were the ease of use and the format of the report, influencing 60.1% and
58.4%, respectively. Finally, in analysis of the word cloud two suggestions were more
latent: the request for a training course and the difficulty of understanding the
information contained in the report. Thus, it was suggested as a way of covering the
critical points of the report raised in this research that a training course be promoted.
