RESUMO:

This research investigates the information management and information flows. On theoretical foundation, deals with the management of information and information flow in organizations and information flows in the General Archives, where were this documentary typology. Discusses flow models, with emphasis on access to public information act LAI, n. 12,527/2011; in the Archival document management; in the Documentary Typology; in Custodial and custodial Paradigm, characteristics of the emerging paradigm and findability of archival information. Highlights the importance of treatment, conservation and restoration of damaged retirement under the guard of General File. In the methodology, uses a qualitative approach, the strategy of case study with unfolding in research action in the General Archives of UFRN. To this end, it makes use of data collection instruments, bibliographical and documentary research, with participant observation and semi-structured interview. The subjects of research will be the former leadership of the General Archives, active servers and file servers that handle this type of documents. To analyze the data, uses content analysis, limiting the research and retirement processes under the guard of the General Archives of the years 1965 to 2002. As a result, seeks to create tool to clean, restore and register the processes on the SIPAC, as well as the production of packaging for treatment and conservation of mounts.
