RESUMO:

The objective of this research is to analyze the performance of thirty-five Graduate Programs at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in the lasts three triennial CAPES assessment using the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) based on the evaluation sheets completed by the consultants CAPES. Through the prioritization of assessment items pointed out by the IPA, we propose the use of information and knowledge management tools with the aim of improving the management and performance of graduate programs. Research has a combined character since it uses both quantitative and qualitative artifacts. The first step of the research is characterized as descriptive with data collection through documentary analysis based on the evaluation sheets of the programs and the area documents made available by CAPES. In the second step, the items evaluated and the attributes assigned to them in the last three evaluations are compared, as well as the statistical analysis of the evolution or regression of the items according to the indicators for each program.
