SUMMARY:

Introduction: Pressure injuries (PI) are a worldwide problem and are described as localized damage to the skin and/or underlying tissue, usually over a prominent bone, and can be caused by prolonged and/or intense pressure combined with shear. Critical patients are generally in a serious, unstable situation and are often subjected to prolonged hospitalizations and highly complex procedures. Nursing records constitute an integral part of the patient's medical record and are essential to the care process. Enteral Nutritional Therapy (ENT) in patients with pressure injuries is indicated whenever the patient is unable to meet their nutritional needs through the conventional oral route. The healing process consumes energy, using mainly carbohydrates in the form of glucose. For the body to use proteins in the healing process, an adequate supply of calories is important. Objective: Develop actions to improve the quality of pressure injury treatment. Methodology: This is a longitudinal study that will use data produced by the multidisciplinary care service of a public hospital in the city of Natal-RN. The results of a quality improvement cycle in PI treatment will be evaluated and the effect of the interventions carried out will be measured. Partial Results: Demonstrates fragility mainly in the adequacy of energy and protein intake, which is of great relevance for the healing of PI.
