SUMMARY:

Introduction: Hemodynamics Units (UHD) are highly complex health services in which minimally invasive, endovascular, percutaneous procedures are performed. Patients may experience complications during or after percutaneous procedures, such as bleeding, hematoma, pseudoaneurysm, arterial thrombosis, or distal embolization. The monitoring of complications and the implementation of an assessment and notification flow will enable the early reassessment of patients who need additional treatments, with a view to minimizing damage and favoring the improvement of the quality of care, thus justifying the realization of this research. Objective: To implement a process of evaluation, monitoring and notification of complications after percutaneous procedures in a Hemodynamics Unit. Method: Methodological study to develop flow and instruments that help the implementation of the process of monitoring complications after percutaneous procedures in a University Hospital in the Northeast of Brazil. Thus, four stages were planned: Development of an instrument to assess patients undergoing procedures in the hemodynamics unit; Validation of the instrument content by specialists in the field of hemodynamics; Educational Intervention with the nursing staff of the care units involved in the care of patients undergoing procedures in the hemodynamics unit; Monitoring notifications and planning the construction of an indicator on the rate of complications related to procedures in a hemodynamic unit. Partial results: prototype of the flow for evaluation and instrument for evaluating patients undergoing procedures in a hemodynamic unit. Finaly considerations: Knowledge about complications after percutaneous procedures in a hemodynamic unit will be a contribution to clinical practice through this research, as well as providing subsidies for the development of actions in the care of the patient undergoing these procedures.
