RESUMO:

The objective of this research is to evaluate and improve the medication process in the Medical Clinic reducing related unsafe acts and contributing to the mitigation of harm to patients. This improvement cycle will be carried out in 2019 and 2020, in a General Hospital located in Sobral-CE. The opportunity for improvement that will be worked on is related to failures in the medication process. It was identified and prioritized by applying the Nominal Group Technique and Prioritization Matrix. The following steps will be taken during the study: analysis of opportunity for improvement; survey of quality criteria; definition of intervention proposals; and evaluation of the intervention. This project will be sent for consideration by the Research Ethics Committee, only as an additional caution, as the research aims at the theoretical deepening of situations that emerge spontaneously and contingently in professional practice, as provided for in Resolution No. 510 of April 7, 2016.
