SUMMARY:

Interprofessionality is nowadays seen as fundamental for the training of health professionals who aim at truly comprehensive patient care and teamwork. In this sense, the development of collaborative skills comes to assist teachers and students to achieve this goal. Interdisciplinary Education recognizes and respects the specific assumptions of each profession and protects its identity. When dealing with the difference, it works towards achieving results based on competencies within a common structure. The general objective of the research is to elaborate a matrix of collaborative competences for the Multiprofessional Residency in Health of the Maternidade Escola Januário Cicco (MEJC). The matrix of collaborative competences proposed in this work for the MEJC Multiprofessional Residency in Health was designed with the purpose of establishing a matrix that would guide the preceptors, tutors and program coordinators, in order to guide them throughout the training process. and training of residents, in terms of collaborative skills. This is a qualitative study carried out at Maternidade Escola Januário Cicco, Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. The elaboration was based on the Pedagogical Political Project (PPP) of the Multiprofessional Residency in Health of the Maternidade Escola Januário Cicco and other matrices found in the literature, having occurred in two stages: bibliographic survey about the collaborative competences necessary for the training of health professionals elaboration of the matrix. The matrix of collaborative competences developed was formed by five axes: interpersonal relationship and communication; professionalism and ethics; sense of responsibility and proactivity; approach centered on the person, the family and the community and the humanization of care. Each axis presents the desired competences to the graduate of the MEJC Multiprofessional Residency in Health. The multi-professional residency of MEJC already has the specific skills developed for each profession, which generated the respective assessments for each profession. However, the collaborative skills gap still exists, which will be filled by the collaborative skills matrix proposed here. This will provide elements for the elaboration of an instrument for assessing the collaborative skills of the program's residents. It arrives at a crucial and extremely important moment, when teaching at MEJC takes on greater proportions and rises to a new level, that of teaching professionalization. It is the moment when the vast majority of preceptors and tutors have already been trained for teaching and the need arises to improve practical processes, such as the assessment of residents.
