SUMMARY:

The Teaching of Ethics and Bioethics (EEB) is part of the curricular basis of the Multiprofessional Residency in Health Programs (PRMS). It seeks to guide the training of human resources with skills for a practice implied with knowledge, skills, and attitudes in bioethics. Our goal is to analyze how this training happens from theoretical and practical assumptions described in the Pedagogical Projects (PP) of the PRMS and in the field, with the articulation of the contents of Bioethics in the daily practice of hospital. This is an exploratory study of a qualitative nature. Our corpus consists of PP and semi-structured interviews conducted with the preceptors of seven PRMS from UFRN. We chose this audience because they consider that they offer a strategic view of field practices. We are evaluating these materials with the support of documentary and content analysis (framework approach). So far, we have analyzed all the PPs and conducted 11 interviews, which have already been described. At this point, we verify the sample saturation. The projects' analysis points to the forecast of the discipline of Bioethics and Bioethics with a workload of 20 hours, below the recommendation proposed by Unesco in its proposal for a minimum curriculum for EEB, which is 30 hours. Regarding the contents, we found in the menus a gap regarding the themes related to cultural diversity, protection of the environment, the biosphere, and biodiversity. Despite the absence of a theoretical approach in the PP, we imply a plan that focuses on medical ethics, with principalist bases, and an emphasis on the individual. In the next stages of the work, we will analyze how this teaching is configured in the field of practice, from the perspective of the preceptors. Besides, we intend to expand our discussion through dialogue with the current scientific literature.
