SUMMARY:

The main objective of this work is the elaboration of a digital platform for archiving and sharing on the Internet of radiological images of clinical cases of Neuroimaging presented by the residents of Radiology and discussed in the weekly meetings of the Neuroradiology sector of the Imaging Diagnostic service of the University Hospital Onofre Lopes-UFRN, which reflect the epidemiology of our state and region, and this platform is focused on teaching and research. The tool was developed in partnership with the team of programmers of LAIS (Laboratory of Technological Innovation in Health) of UFRN, with support from a pedagogy professional, being called NeuroRad.  It is hosted on the computer network server of the Onofre Lopes University Hospital and will have free access to consult on the Internet as a source of learning of undergraduate students, Resident Physicians and Preceptors of Radiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pediatrics and Infectology of HUOL, as well as other physicians and other health professionals who are interested in the theme.

The clinical cases of Neuroimaging already presented at the meetings of recent years are being selected for archiving on the platform and weekly new cases will be published by radiology residents under the supervision of the author. In addition, users Resident Physicians or Specialists of Radiology, Neurology, Neuropediatrics, Neurosurgery of other services and institutions may register as a collaborating user and submit cases of Neuroimaging, which will be evaluated by the administrator and after approval will be published, with the identification of the respective authors. The platform will also feature, in its next version, withother teaching tools, such as quiz questionnaires for self-assessment of users.

It is hoped that this instrument can guarantee the continuity of a collection of clinical cases with neurological images from our Hospital and partner institutions in the state of RN, that the active participation of residents of Radiology at HUOL in the weekly publication of cases, will be a stimulus to their learning and development of their skills in the art of the interpretation of neuroradiological images and that the availability of the NeuroRad Platform for free access on the internet, is another significant source of consultation on a daily basis, for users who seek online learning about this topic.
