RESUMO:

Objective: To analyze the TOSCE (Team Objective Structured Clinical Examination) evaluation strategy in the development of competences for teamwork among students of a Multiprofessional Integrated Residency in Health and to identify the perception of the health professionals involved in the care of the cardiological patient who needs surgical intervention on the interprofessional and team performance at the University Hospital Onofre Lopes. Methodology: quasi-experimental, quantitative and qualitative approach involving multiprofessional residents of a university hospital in the years 2017 and 2018. The results of the study show the importance of practices involving multiprofessional teams with development of skills in teamwork. Most students agree or fully agree that communication skills (93.3%), teamwork (96.6%), and professional relationships (100%) are improved when developed among other health professionals. When questioned about the preference for a uniprofessional training, 96.7% of the students evaluated how to disagree or totally disagree. On the other hand, it is evidenced that the process of this training in the multiprofessional residence still requires strengthening of the relations between the different professions, since 85.7% agree or totally agree with the comfort for the uniprofessional work. Final considerations: The TOSCE evaluation method, together with the skills development methods, was considered effective when the results of the statistical analysis of the data were evaluated. These presented significant improvements between practices 01 and 02, strengthening the advantages of developing active teaching / learning methodologies and formative evaluation.
