RESUMO:

The Medical Residency is a valuable moment in the training of the future specialist, where
through the teaching-learning process in service, these experience several experiences with
the patients, shared with the multi-professional team under the supervision of its
instructors. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study is to implement the 360º evaluation in the
medical residency in gynecology and obstetrics (RMGO) of the Maternidade Escola Januário
Cicco (MEJC) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). METHODOLOGY: A
study carried out with residents of gynecology and obstetrics (OG) of MEJC, through the
application of the 360º evaluation. For the implementation of the new evaluative model,
two stages will be programmed, the first being the implementation and training of the
multi-professional team to use the Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise (MINI-CEX); and the
second, the beginning of the 360º assessments of gynecology and obstetrics residents. The
360º assessment consists of obtaining information from multiple sources that surround the
sphere of influence of the resident, about their performance in different tasks, including
self-evaluation, peer evaluation, patients and multi-professional team. At the end of the
evaluation of each resident, the researcher will give feedback, pointing out the positives and
those that will need to be strengthened making the formative evaluation. The results will be
stored in a database in an Excel / Office 2010 worksheet. CONCLUSION: The implementation
of the 360º evaluation as an assessment method in the medical residents, through this
work, will contribute to the improvement in the training of future specialists who, inserted
in society, can develop proactive attitudes allowing decent health care for the population.
