The present research had the objective of investigating the conceptions, motivations and practices that characterize the pedagogical action of teachers that has the creativity as a process and objective of their musical education proposal within the school context of Natal/RN. The reflections that guided the research are based on authors who deal with aspects related to creativity in general, the creative individual, the creative process (NACHMANOVICTH, 1993; GARDNER, 1996) – including the creative musical process –, the motivations involved in this process (REEVE, 2006), and the training and pedagogical performance of the creative teacher (ABRAHÃO, 2015; SCHAFER, 1991). The research method chosen was the multiple case study, using as a data collection tool the questionnaire, direct observation and semi-structured interview. In the first stage, twenty-two questionnaires were collected from music educators in the city of Natal/RN, where it was possible to visualize the pedagogical performance of these professionals, which allowed the selection of three of them, so that the Study from its practices. Eight classes of each educator were observed, analyzing the impact of the pedagogical-musical practice in the classroom, and later, the conceptions and reports of the professionals were collected through interviews. The results present some relevant factors of the creative process of the teacher, in order to allow the reflection that everyone has the condition and the possibility of creating, provided that the knowledge about the creative process is allowed and possessed (NACHMANOVICTH, 1993).
