RESUMO:

This paper examines the performance of musician Adelson Silva focused his performance as drummer in the orchestras of frevo in Pernambuco, specifically in the Orchestra of Maestro José Menezes, in the Decade of 1980, with the disc Anthology of Frevo; as well as Maestro Spok, in the Spokfrevo Orchestra,  from the year 2004 to 2006, with the hard Step of Angel recorded in Studio. Six musical behaviors applied will be discussed by the musician, who resurfaces in his performance steadily, being seen as a peculiar shape in their practice, and as something that distinguishes it from other drummers in this follow up. The methodological path of this research are based on transcriptions and musical analysis coming from the above discs, in addition to the oral history that makes up the base of this discussion, whose goal is to support the central hypothesis of this work that considers Adelson Silva drummer of expressiveness between two generations of drummers.
