This  professional master work aims to elaborate a Project Prevention and Fire Fighting Program for the headquarters of the Secretary of State for Health Public School of Rio Grande do Norte (Sesap / RN), a modernist building - completed in 1970 and located at Avenida Deodoro da Fonseca, in Natal / RN. It is, therefore, a retrofit, in the which will be proposed to update equipment and systems for specific use in the event of accident, as well as the architectural elements involved in the safety of users. When designers are unaware of the building architectural importance or not considering the impacts of the intervention, the project for a old building could result in dangerous solution. The project for the Sesap / RN building will aim at a balance between implementing the necessary security measures and preserving the characteristics modernist architectural features.
