RESUMO:

This professional master's qualification research consists of a preliminary design of a social prefabricated housing designed for situations where constructive speed is a design requirement. This document consists of a technical report and an architectural project. The problem that motivated these work is related to the process of expropriation of properties located within the 15m range necessary for the duplication of Av. Moema Tinoco in the community of Gramorezinho, northern Natal. This will disarticulate the family villages (usual on that location) and transfer to the residents the responsibility of rebuilding their dwellings. The project responds to a real and specific demand, but as an alternative to a building system aimed at popular housing, it contributes to the formulation of a theoretical and practical knowledge of ferrocement prefabricated residential projects adapted to the coastal environment of the Brazilian Northeast. To develop the architectural proposal, it was initially carried out a theoretical-conceptual about the main themes, through bibliographical research and analysis of similar projects. Then, was performed a technical reading of the design constraints in order to establish strategies against the main problems, which were identified and systematized by the problem seeking method. From this basis, the project process was gradually developed and mapped, through various forms of recording, from the initial stages of conditioning studies, conception and definition of principles, strategies. Given its specific objectives, the work sought architectural strategies to maximize natural ventilation in the house interior, as well as reduce the sun light on walls and openings. As a result, a preliminary prefabricated design was reached, which corresponds to a ferrocement building system that is purchased (or supplied) with all its components or only the structure.
