RESUMO:

This work deals with the school theme and its relationship with the concept of inclusive architecture, focusing on the inclusive education of students with special educational needs of regular education. The objective is to prepare an architectural project for a public elementary school with inclusive education under development in this professional master's degree. The theme is justified by the historical importance of the education environment and by the diverse needs faced by this public regarding the adequacy of environments to human diversity, even though there is an evident right of everyone to the quality public education guaranteed by the legislation. The target audience has an expressive number of students enrolled in municipal schools and attended at the Municipal Support Center for Inclusion (CEMAI) of Ceará-Mirim / RN. The CEMAI was consulted and collaborated with the provision of data and reports on the needs of these students, and this material is of great importance for the design process. The universe of study is an urban lot of public domain located in this city. In order to support the development of the architectural proposal, the study of the bibliographic review of the key concepts, the guidelines of the universal design, analyzes of architectural precedents, and environmental comfort simulations with bioclimatic tools are being carried out. For this exam of qualification are presented: theoretical reference in elaboration; design and development of the proposal; version of the draft preliminary study level. The conclusion of the master's degree is expected to happen in the first half of 2018.
