RESUMO:

This preliminary study addresses the issue of rehabilitation of institutional buildings with a focus on energy efficiency envelopment. This work aims to promote the rehabilitation of the Centre Convivência Djalma Marinho building, located on the central campus of UFRN, reassessing its architectural programming, identifying their current energy consumption, diagnosing the points that need intervention, working with the recommended bioclimatic strategies Brazilian for bioclimatic Zone No. 08, in order to reduce heat transfer from the external environment to the internal environment, and thus reducing its consumption. Once you identify, diagnose and reduce consumption intended to deploy an alternative power generation system to supply partially anticipated consumption for the building requalified. The proposed actions are aimed at improving the energy and thermal performance (envelope, lighting, air conditioning) of the building, the acquisition of National Label of energy efficiency Building (PROCEL), rationalization of materials and resources used. Defends the hypothesis that it is in the preliminary stages projective at the time of conception and planning of the building, that takes decisions impact greatly on the environmental performance of the building and its energy consumption.
