SUMMARY:

This dissertation intends to analyze black identities and representations in books Zumbi: o despertar da Liberdade (1999), and Na cor da Pele (2005), both written by Júlio Emílio Braz, from a decolonized approach, through the proposal of theoretical-methodological encruzilhadas. The objective of this investigation is to highlight aspects related to black-Brazilian characterizations in children's and youth literature that support a literary analysis that considers other epistemologies and that values the representation and strengthening of the identities of black children and young people. The encruzilhadas teóricas advocate the meeting of knowledge that comes from other areas of knowledge such as Pedagogy, Psychoanalysis, History, Philosophy, and the knowledge built in the poetics of everyday life, to demonstrate how these discourses of the world are refracted in the works, in the promotion of tensioning of signifiers and construction of new meanings. For that, we need to consider the insertion of analytical categories that singularize and take into account the demands that these themes propose. Thus, the valores afro-brasileiros, according to Azoilda Loretto da Trindade (2010), are characterized as circularity, religiosity, corporeality, musicality, cooperative/communitarianism, ancestry, memory, playfulness, vital energy, and orality, according to our analysis, can be used both as theoretical-critical operators of literary analysis and in the literary literacy of children and young people, about the decolonized approach. As a theoretical framework for the construction of the research, we start from the propositions of Simas and Rufino (2018); Hall (2016) and Freitas (2016), Santos Souza (1983), Pinheiro and Tolentino (2020), Frantz Fanon (2005;  ; 2021), Mbembe (2018),Eagleton (2019), Colomer (2017) Compagnon (2001) ), Auerbach (2021), Kilomba (2019), Sodré (2021), Freire (2021), hooks (2017), Rufino (2019; 2021) and Munanga (2005). We hope that this work can contribute and add to the reflections already published on the decolonization of thought, from the formulation of other theoretical-methodological operators of literary analysis, as well as the re-elaboration of aesthetic-ideological parameters that rethink the literary text, especially in the institutional environments, such as university and school. Thus, the silencing gags of black subjectivity are removed, so that every logic of oppression, alienation, homogenization, epistemicide, and erasure is increasingly confronted, so that black children and young people become aware of the dynamics that reinforce coloniality, regain the right to their bodies and become subjects of their own stories.
