RESUMO:
The textbook is one of the main resources used by the classroom teacher. In this book we find a whole content sequence that guides and assists student learning. This material has been the object of many studies and constant reflections in the educational environment. To contribute to this debate, this dissertation has as its object of analysis the Portuguese Language textbook of the 9th grade of Elementary School. Checking the intensification of the argumentative question at this level of education, our research aims to analyze the presence of linguistic marks of argumentation, specifically those that the literature has named argumentative operators or conjunctions. These tags are responsible for the semantic relationship of the text. To achieve our goal, we chose as theoretical contribution the studies of Koch (1998, 2011, 2016), Marcuschi (2008, 2012), among others. In addition, we take as a base the official documents directed to Basic Education and Elementary Education, the PCN (1997), LDB, Curriculum Guidelines and the 2017 PNLD. To develop our research, we conducted the bibliographic and documentary survey. From the point of view of the approach, research is configured as qualitative and quantitative, considering that we analyzed the data subjectively and also performed a classification of the occurrences presented in the analyzed results. The results of the analysis show that the linguistic marks of argumentation are present throughout the textbook. The studies of argumentative operators (conjunctions) permeate the entire book, but rather shyly.
