A Caçada mortal: uma análise cognitiva-ecológica sobre a concepção de doença na cultura Yanomami de Halikato-ú
Cognitive-ecological linguistics. Frames. Metaphors. Yanomami
This research aims to characterize the general conception of disease of the Yanomami community of Halikato-ú, through the analysis of narratives and testimonies acquired during two months in which I lived among them. Halikato-ú is a community of approximately two hundred Indians, located in the north of the state of Roraima, who live mostly from hunting, gathering and planting cassava. During my stay I realized that they had a different conception in relation to the diseases, a conception evidenced in constant clashes with health agents regarding the treatment in case of serious illness. While health workers tried to provide medical help, the community refused or accepted only after shamanic rites. For the analysis I will be based specifically on the ecological approach to language, because this besides analyzing the linguistic phenomenon within a context associates it with a behavior (DUQUE, 2015; 2016; 2018). I divided the analysis into analytical categories related to social aspects, such as: cognitive and interactional frames (FELDMAN 2006; FILLMORE, 1976; DUQUE, 2015) language games (WITTEGENSTEIN, 1953; DUQUE, 2018) and emulation (LAKOFF, JOHSON 1980).
