RESUMO:

This thesis aims to study the academic ensaistic gender considering its content, expressive devices and compositional structure. The date come from public essays form senior researchers and those one from graduated students. The theoretical bases lies on the texts of Bakhtin’s Circle; socio-dicoursive interactionism and Academic Literacy. Methodologically, it follows the principle of qualitative research .
