RESUMO:

This work has as main objective to investigate what cognitive mechanisms are involved in the meaning construction process dissertative-argumentative texts. Given this objective, the theoretical basis of this work is anchored in Cognitive Semantics, which will be the foundation for the constructional discourse analysis and use of the following analytical categories: frames, schematics, corporeality, categorization, metaphor and metonymy. This theoretical approach is defended by George Lakoff (1987, 1990.1999), Lakoff and Johnson (1980), Fillmore (1982, 1985), Feldman (2006) and Duke (2015). With this orientation, the research aims to analyze argumentative, argumentative texts. These texts were selected in the newsrooms of Bank of UOL, in order to form the corpus of research, with a view to the description and analysis of the cognitive mechanisms that are underlying in the process of construction of meaning of argumentative discourse. Furthermore, the research aims to answer the following questions: What cognitive mechanisms are involved in the construction of meaning of argumentative-argumentative texts? What is the role of frames and schemes in the construction process of argumentative chain? The cognitive mechanisms involved in the construction of meaning are raised and driven in all-argumentative argumentative texts analyzed? As the drive mechanisms of the frames are involved in the construction of meaning in dissertative-argumentative texts? Survey questions are correlated with the following objectives: To investigate how the frames are activated in the argument construction process; Identify frames that underlie the argument; Describe the process of integration frames and schemes in the construction of argumentative chain; Check how is the refinement of the senses in dissertative- argumentative texts through the mechanisms drives of frames.
