RESUMO:

Considering that the Portuguese and the Spanish languages has the same origin: vulgar latin, and that in Portuguese the future of subjunctive is used in the modern standard language, while, in Spanish, this time/mode was replaced, in the conditional structure, by the present tense and, in the temporal, by the present of subjunctive in the modern standard language a comparative analysis was required presenting the discussion about the data found on the study object to verify the usage of those structures on both languages highlighting their equivalences and contrasts. Thus, this research has as objective to describe and to analyze, by a comparative way, the usage of the verbal expressions with function of future of subjunctive (FS) in Brazilian Portuguese (PB) , and in Spanish (E) in conditional adverbial subordinated clauses introduced by the connective se/si and in temporal adverbial subordinated clauses introduced by the connective quando/cuando in PB and E respectively considering three analytical factors, to know , the time/mode verbal on protasis and in the apodosis, the clauses positions and types of arrangements presents in the conditionals and temporal statement. To define the future of subjunctive, were read the normative approaches and discursive-pragmatic grounded theoretically in the North American functionalism, more specifically of Givón (1993, 1995; 2001; 2002), for which the conceptions of mode and modality are understood in a vision beyond of the verbal morphological category, taking into account the context in the communicative situation.
