RESUMO:
This research was designed in order to provide a critical and analytical reading of the time and memory in the books Corpo Breve (1980) and Os Pássaros da Memória (1994), Potiguar poet Diogenes da Cunha Lima. In the work of Lima, the poetry of the time is not a time sung in a fixed manner, or related to a deadline or time and, also, is not a historical time, with its manifestations and contradictions. In the poet's vision, there is a time of memories and reflections, a kind of inner time that every human being experiences as yours. Corpo Breve consists of a book with 53 poems of various topics, as Os Pássaros da Memória is composed of eight long poems, fragmented into 77 small pieces, all with time as title and subdivided as if they were fragments of memory. The development of research has shown an interest in both the theoretical approach on modern poetry and memory in general and subsequently set in Poem limits, as a critical approach has been demonstrated in various reading poems. We found in the works O Ser e o Tempo na Poesia, by Alfredo Bosi (1983), Memória e sociedade: Lembranças de Velhos, of Ecléa Bosi (1994), História e Memória, de Le Goff (1994), and A Memória, a História, o Esquecimento, de Paul Ricoeur (2007), theoretical basis to discuss the poetry of Lima issues related to memory, in practice, while exercised, and how old facts resurface through the lyrical poems with the theme of the up-tempo. A reflective and interpretative character research.
