RESUMO:

In this investigation we have taken as the starting point the assumption that meaning effects developed duringthe researcher’s writing production are related to his/ her formation and conception of science. We understand that the reading of a text indicates different ways of representation, concerning the scientific work, the theoretical concepts or the renowned authors from an area of studies. Thus, we assume the idea that the production of scientific texts is conditioned by different relationships, both internal and external. Given that internal relationships are forms of signing other authors’ discourses, and, external, institutional relationships (supervisor and young researcher, senior researcher and funding agencies; productivity and funding). Our research questions are: How do the forms of use of the quoted discourse demonstrate the representation the researcher has about a theoretical foundation?; How does the representation a researcher has about a determined theoretical foundation influence the way he/ she employs the discourse of other authors?; Which meaning effects can be constructed from the different controlling procedures of the discourse materialized in the writing production?; How can the meanings produced in the writing production contribute towards the insertion of the one who writes it inside a scientific community?; and, Which is the relationship between the conception of science and the representation of the researcher? We have the followings objectives: 1) Identify the signs of the use of the quoted discourse in the writing production of the academic text; 2) Verify the signs of representation of the researcher reflected in the ways of employing of the other’s discourse; 3) Analyze the relationship between the representation and the writing production of the researcher; 4) Analyze the relationship between the conception of science and the representation of the researcher has about concepts, authors and theories; 5) Verify the relationship between the controlling procedures of the discourse and the employment of other author’s concepts in the writing of scientific texts; and, 6) Analyze the meaning effects of the association among academic production, representation of the one who writes and the conceptions of science present in the university. We have taken as corpus 10 (ten) PhD theses on Discourse Analysis from graduation programs on Languages, Literature and Linguistics classified as 04, 05, 06 and 07 in an interinstitutional program. The theoretical foundation is organized as follows: 1) The notions about science production in Bachelard (1996), who argues that new knowledge happens through the contradiction against other, it is not evident, but constructed; 2) The writing conception form Babier (2009) and ECO (1989); 3) the reading and cultural representation practices from Chartier (2002), that allow the relationship between the reading practice of the one who writes and of the one who reads; 4) The forms of shown discursive heterogeneity from Authier-Revuz (2004) and the forms of quoted discourse form Bakhtin (2006), in order to analyze the construction and materialization of other authors’ discourse in the writing of academic works; 5) the concept of internal and external controlling procedures presented by Foucault (1970), more specifically the notions of ritualization of the institutions (external control) – which is based on the idea that there are institutional relationships that violently control the discursive production from the community; and, 6) Imaginary formation from Pêcheux (1997), which permits identifying the signs of the discoursive formation of the subject present in the writing production of the scientific text.
