SUMMARY:

The general objective of this work is to analyze the level of maturity in organizational governance of the Instituto Técnico-Científico de Perícia do Rio Grande do Norte, with specific objectives: to carry out a diagnosis of the level of maturity in governance in the Instituto Técnico-Científico de Perícia do Rio Grande do Norte; raise possible points of greater criticality, based on the mechanisms and components of organizational governance and propose improvements to the organizational governance of the Instituto Técnico-Científico de Perícia do Rio Grande do Norte. The type of research is classified, in terms of nature, as applied; from the point of view of objectives, exploratory and descriptive; in relation to technical procedures, it is classified as bibliographic and documentary; and predominantly qualitative approach to the problem. Data collection involves holding a meeting and filling out a form, as well as selecting documents that will enable the study to be carried out in depth. Bardin's content analysis strategies will be adopted to process and analyze the collected data, which will help identify the level of maturity in organizational governance of the Instituto Técnico-Científico de Perícia do Rio Grande do Norte. Thus, the study will contribute to the knowledge of the Institution's governance maturity, so that it will have subsidies to outline paths for improvements based on the critical points that may be identified, which will enable more efficient management of available resources, optimizing internal processes and ensuring that activities are conducted effectively, efficiently and effectively.
