SUMMARY:

The studies linking mental health and the work environment are on the rise given the importance of the consequences of mental illness for society. Amidst a competitive and demanding labor market, the intensification of activities and the demand for qualified skills increase stress on workers, highlighting the relevance of Common Mental Disorders (CMDs) and the need to find ways to minimize them. The COVID-19 pandemic has further exacerbated the situation, causing growing concerns about mental health in the workplace, with a 25% increase in cases of anxiety and depression in 2021, according to the WHO. Thus, this study aims to analyze the management of mental health care at the Regional Labor Court of the 21st Region, based on the perception of employees. In other words, the research seeks to identify the main demands and needs of employees regarding mental health in the workplace, as well as evaluate the policies and practices adopted by the institution to promote mental health. According to the methodological approach, the research is classified as applied, descriptive, and exploratory. The problem will be addressed through bibliographic, documentary, and survey methods. A questionnaire will be administered, consisting of a first part that will profile sociodemographic and occupational information; the second part will include the General Health Questionnaire 12 (GHQ-12), and the third part will contain four open-ended questions about the actions developed in the Court. All ethical principles will be respected. Quantitative data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and SPSS, while qualitative data will be analyzed through Bardin's content analysis. It is expected that the results will assist the Regional Labor Court of the 21st Region in efficiently assessing mental health care.
