SUMMARY:

The present work aims to evaluate whether the SIPAC “scholarships/aid” module meets the needs of student assistance at federal universities that have technical cooperation with the UFRN SIGs, proposing improvements for its applicability in these institutions from the creation of a artifact. To achieve the objective, the following theoretical axes were defined: Student assistance at federal universities; Information Systems in Public Management: GIS and ERP; and the evaluation of information systems. Design Science Research (DSR) was the method chosen for the development of the research. For data collection, a documentary and bibliographical research was carried out, as well as a structured questionnaire containing 21 questions with open and closed answers in the sectors that manage student assistance in the universities cooperated with the Sigs of UFRN, which started the process of implantation or use the referred module, in order to verify if it meets the needs of these institutions. The development and testing of the proposed artifact will be done through Design Thinking (DT). The analysis categories were established based on the adaptation of the system quality assessment model, from the ISO 9126 Standard, specifically the Functionality characteristic, which is composed of five subcategories: suitability, accuracy, interoperability, compliance and access security.
