SUMMARY:

The Quality of Life at Work (QVT) has aroused the growing interest of scholars and those responsible for organizations. However, the management of QWL programs in the public sector is still incipient.In order to promote the health and quality of life of its employees, the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA) carried out, in 2019 and 2020, activities aimed at implementing the Strategic Project Quality of Life at UFCA, such as: education lectures on health, vaccination campaigns, medical care, distribution of furniture to favor ergonomics and integrative health practices. After the closure of this project, the existence of a QWL program at UFCA was not verified, verifying the opportunity to investigate the QWL of the servers of this Institution and, in this way, contribute to the reflection in the academic environment and in the public service about this such a relevant topic. In this sense, the present study aims to understand how Quality of Work Life is configured at UFCA, from the perspective of its servers. For that, a descriptive study will be carried out, with a quantitative and qualitative approach and with a cross-sectional approach, with the technical-administrative servers and professors of UFCA. Data collection will consist of applying a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Quality of Life at Work Assessment Inventory (IA_QVT), in online format. Quantitative data will be statistically analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The treatment of qualitative data will be anchored by the “organization of analysis” proposed by Laurence Bardin, with the help of the Iramuteq software. After obtaining the results of this study, it is expected to provide tools to support future actions to promote health at work, especially with regard to the public involved.
