SUMMARY:

In 2020, the world and humanity went through yet another ordeal, this time an illness turned into a pandemic and in less than 04 months it reached almost all countries on all continents. According to the World Health Organization, the SARS-CoV2 virus, which causes the disease Coronavirus (COVID-19), is estimated to have killed more than 15 million people across the planet. There were no vaccines or drugs to combat this virus and therefore preventive measures of an emergency nature were taken. The lockdown (stay at home) was deployed to reduce the spread of the virus as health services were collapsed with patients. Jobs and public services remained minimally functioning due to the compulsory implementation of telecommuting. The objective of the research is to investigate the productivity and quality of life in telework of the servers of the Federal University of Cariri - UFCA who worked directly with the bidding processes in the years 2020 and 2021, composing a sample of 18 participants. The comparative annual analysis of the average number of working days that the servers needed to carry out their assignments will identify whether or not they were more agile during the pandemic period. The Quality of Life in Telework will be measured from the application of the Scale of Quality and Life in Telework by Andrade (2020) measuring whether the perceptions of the servers were in one of the zones of the psychometric cartography by Ferreira (2011) (malaise dominant, transition zone or dominant welfare). With the two analyses, the research seeks, from an ex post facto analysis, to verify the possibility of continuity of the teleworking modality for the servers that work in the flow of the UFCA's purchasing processes, verifying both the effectiveness of this process at the time of its realization , as well as the perception of well-being resulting from working outside the university walls.
