SUMMARY:

This pre-project aims to elaborate the strategic planning of the Internal Audit of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte - IFRN. For this purpose, they were institutional documents, such as the PDI IFRN 2019-2026; the 2021 Information Survey, from the internal audit unit; CGU and TCU regulations; and consulted a questionnaire to the auditors. As this is an intervention project, the methodology adopted is divided into two stages. At first, a survey is classified as follows: in terms of nature, applied; as for the objectives, descriptive; how much technical procedures used, documental and case study; and as for the approach, qualitative. In the second moment, for the preparation of the artifact, the methodology of Design Science Research (DSR) will be used. It is hoped that this research will contribute to solving the problems identified, aligning the expectations of senior management with the internal audit and improving the efficiency of the work carried out by the team.
