SUMMARY:

The Federal Government has sought to strengthen transparency, internal and social control, encouraging and monitoring the bodies and entities of the federal executive branch in the establishment of good governance practices, internal control and risk management. The Federal University of Cariri (UFCA) is a body of bodies and entities of the federal executive branch, listed as units to adopt practices related to risk management, internal controls, and governance. UFCA established its risk management policy in April 2017. To implement it, responsibility was delegated to the Transparency, Governance and Risk Management Coordinator and to the Governance Committee. After all the process of meeting the normative instructions to institutionalize and implement the risk management in the UFCA, it is the starting point for the research, the following question: What level of maturity in risk management applied in IFES of the Brazilian Northeast? Starting from the justification presented and the questions previously raised, it was defined as the general objective of this evaluation the level of maturity of risk management applied in IFES of the Brazilian Northeast. Quantitative and qualitative research will be carried out, making use of multiple cases, with documentary survey and application of questionnaires with key actors in IFES in the process of structuring Risk Management.
