RESUMO:

The regulation of the constitutional right to access to public information in Brazil was materialized with the approval of Law No. 12.527 / 2011 - known as LAI - promulgated on November 18, 2011. In this sense, the present dissertation project aims to analyze whether the Active transparency undertaken by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) meets the society's information demands, requested through passive transparency, via the Citizen Information Service (SIC). To this end, it is proposed to analyze and categorize the requests for access to information made by the company to IFRN, via SIC, highlighting the most requested information and the sectors that receive the most information requests, in order to compare the information provided by the IFRN active transparency with requests for access to information made to the agency via SIC. It is also intended to describe the operation and management of information required by the IFRN SIC, and identify the main barriers and challenges that the agency experiences, as facilitator of access to information, in the view of the actors involved in this process. This is an applied research, exploratory and descriptive, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, also characterized as a case study. Data will be collected through documentary research, observation and individual interviews with semi-structured scripts and will be analyzed through frequency analysis and content analysis.
