RESUMO:

The purpose of this dissertation project is to understand the influence of the process of self-evaluation by the Evaluation Committee (CPA), in the decisions of the managers of the Federal Institute of Education Science and Technology of Paraíba (IFPB), considering the evaluation cycle of The study is based on a theoretical framework built to bring to the reader broad reflection on the evaluation theme and, in particular, on the evolution of the institutional evaluation over the years, focusing on the process of self-evaluation, managed by the CPA in Each institution. The research will be descriptive, of the type of case study, to be carried out in the Campus João Pessoa IFPB. Data collection will be performed through semi-structured interview scripts and documentary research. The interview will be conducted with two groups. The first one formed by the managers of the IFPB Campus João Pessoa, contemplating the general, administrative and teaching directors, besides the coordinators and superior courses of this same Campus. The second group will be composed of IFPB CPA members, who will be interviewed using the focal group technique. This work is being constructed from the perspective of analysis of the qualitative approach, thus, considering the characteristics of the investigation, and the procedures of data collection, these will be analyzed according to the technique of content analysis proposed by Bardin (2006) and also by means Of documentary research.
