RESUMO:

With the expansion of the discussions about accountability (accountability), social control and ideas about open government, transparency is increasingly gaining the attention of academics and experts. Transparency has been perceived as a key element for improving public management. In this sense, this research seeks to understand how public transparency is practiced by the central management of the Paraíba Federal Institute from the perspective of servers. To this end, the following objectives will be met: describe the public transparency tools available in the institution; analyze the organization's actions for the development of transparent management; identify the aspects considered favorable and unfavorable to the practice of public transparency in the institution and, finally, identify the types of transparency practiced by the institution. This is a research with qualitative approach that, for the purposes, is classified as exploratory and descriptive. As for the means, constitutes at the same time, field research, document and case study. Data will be collected through the analysis of documents and semi-structured interviews. The data content analysis, in turn, will be based on three phases cited by Bardin (1977): the pre-analysis; exploration of the material; the treatment of results, inference and interpretation.
