SUMMARY:

Post-COVID sequelae encompass signs, symptoms, and/or conditions that persist or arise after four weeks of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and Primary Health Care plays a pivotal role in carefully addressing the physical and psychosocial sequelae that persist in individuals who have survived the disease, contributing to the control and mitigation of the pandemic's resulting damage. This research aims to analyze the care provided to individuals with post-COVID-19 sequelae within the scope of Primary Health Care. The study was divided into two stages: the first stage consisted of a theoretical procedure conducted through a scoping review on the topic, following the methodological recommendations proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute manual; the second stage involved a documentary research to characterize, analyze, and identify medical records of individuals affected by post-COVID-19 sequelae treated at the SuperAR Post-COVID Rehabilitation Center, in the municipality of Campina Grande, Paraíba, during the period from 2021 to 2023. As for the analysis, 08 articles were included. These articles were mainly published in the years 2021 (25%), 2022 (37.5%), and 2023 (37.5%), with a predominance of studies from the United States (25%), although other countries such as Canada, Chile, Germany, Brazil, Spain, and the United Kingdom were also represented. Regarding the level of evidence, most studies (50%) were classified as level 3 (single qualitative study). The importance of Primary Health Care in managing the complex post-COVID-19 sequelae is evident, emphasizing the need for a multidisciplinary approach. Adequate resources and effective coordination strategies are emphasized to address the challenges posed by the pandemic, with a focus on contextual adaptation to optimize outcomes for patients. The documentary research identified 438 medical records of individuals with post-COVID sequelae, with an average age of 48.33 years, the majority being female (55.7%). It also revealed that the main sequelae of the patients were respiratory, followed by musculoskeletal issues.
