SUMMARY:

This dissertation is about a look beyond a sportive physical education and a non-critical environmental education. The discussion about the complexity of the human animal in the (natural) world, permeates several layers, from the anthropocentric question, fallacies of capitalism and questions of an environmental education little discussed in the initial teacher education of physical education teachers and consequently in school physical education. These implications led to questions about the relationship of the human animal with itself, with others and with the (natural) world, in addition to enabling other perspectives in search of a critical environmental education. These reflections led to implications for a possible critical environmental physical education, inviting physical education teachers to reflect on their initial training and their pedagogical practices, linking them with the object of study. Aiming to identify possible approximations of the pedagogical practices of physical education teacher-researchers, with the complexity of the human animal in the (natural) world. Therefore, this research will be carried out with teachers from the Municipal Education Network of Fortaleza who participate in the Professional Master's Program in Physical Education in National Network (ProEF) of the poles of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the Federal University of Ceará (IEFES -UFC) and the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE), Caucaia campus. As a methodology, we chose to use (auto)bibliographical narratives. These narratives allow an encounter with their own life stories. Two meetings will take place, in the first a narrative will be held in an attempt to rescue the knowledge that the participants carry about the complexity of the human animal in the (natural) world, associating it with its context personal, academic and professional. After the completion of the narratives, a discussion will be held about the object of study for further reflections. In the second meeting, the participants will make another narrative, directed to possible reflections arising from the previous meeting, directed to their pedagogical practices. Finally, a network of environmental knowledge will be built linking the theoretical framework of this writing with the findings of the teachers, thus contributing to a critical environmental physical education.
