SUMMARY:

The mobility of highly educated individuals receives attention in studies of international migration due to the effects it may have on development and inequalities between regions. On the one hand, there is a negative effect on the origin resulting from the loss of investment in human capital, which, on the other hand, can sometimes be counterbalanced by sending remittances, migratory returns or encouraging investment in education. In view of the differentials in labor supply and income between brazilian states, it is relevant to analyze qualified migration with a focus on insertion in the national labor market, against the background of economic, social and political dynamics, in the period of 2000 to 2015. Thus, the objective of this dissertation is to analyze the qualified interstate migration, the sociodemographic characteristics of the individual and your home, and the occupational insertion of these migrants in the destination states. For this purpose, the PNAD for the years 2005, 2011 and 2015 will be used. Therefore, it is expected to relate the Brazilian economic-political-social dynamics, delimited between 2000 and 2015, to the migration and occupational insertion of qualified migrants
