RESUMO:

The population and epidemiological changes observed in the last decades in Brazil are leading to changes in the demographic dynamics of the country, whose characteristics are more marked the process of aging of the population and the changes in the profile of illnesses and deaths. The coexistence of infectious and parasitic diseases (DIPs) with chronic noncommunicable diseases (DCNTs), and the regional difference in the profiles of illnesses and deaths, characterized the Brazilian epidemiological transition as being superimposed and polarized. The general objective of this study is to investigate the spatial interdependence between socioeconomic, infrastructural and health factors with the microregional mortality differentials of the elderly population. With the increase of the relative weight of the elderly population in the country and the lengthening of the life expectancy of this population layer, it is fundamental that there is a deepening in the analyzes about the population that is in the age groups from the 60 years. Thus, the methodological delineation of this research involves the construction of a database containing, in addition to the response variable (life expectancy at age 60), variables classified into three major dimensions, ie, Socioeconomic Dimension, Health Dimension and Dimension Infrastructure. These variables were selected through the database of the 2010 Census, the Information System on Mortality (SIM) - DATASUS and the Basic Attention Information System (SIAB). Preliminary results showed that there is a decrease in the influence of socioeconomic, infrastructural and health aspects on the life expectancy of the elderly population. After the construction of the database with the variables of interest, the next step will be to add them to the database containing the estimates of mortality and life expectancy at the corrected 60 years of the 558 microregions obtained through the work carried out by Schmertmann and Gonzaga (2018). For the analysis of the correlation between the variables will be tested some models of spatial analysis.
