SUMMARY:

Several works have been developed with the objective of improving technologies that replace natural aggregates with residues. Many of these researches are aimed at incorporating rock crushing residues and the processing of scheelite, which are commonly stored in the open air, occupying large areas, providing diverse impacts to the environment. Although there is a significant number of studies in the literature that demonstrate that the insertion of these residues in the production of concretes and mortars improves several properties in the fresh and hardened state, there are few studies aimed at compiling, classifying and analyzing these publications. With the proposal to fill this knowledge gap as well as to better understand the current research situation on the theme, the present work sought to contribute to the study of the incorporation of these residues in the production of mortars, through a systematic review of the literature, aiming at guiding future researches. Most of the research with selected crushed sand mortars originates from the south and southeast regions, with emphasis on the state of PR, while the studies of chosen scheelite mortars come from the states of PB and RN. The use of scheelite residue and stone powder to replace natural sand can significantly improve most of the physical and mechanical properties of mortars, especially when incorporations and granulometric adjustments are made for the better packaging of particles
