SUMMARY:

The present work has the objective to perform a discussion around the female body as a space for inscribing memories of the tortures suffered by women who, when they chose to play the role of opponents of the Brazilian Military Dictatorship (1964-1985), began to be persecuted and, later, became political prisoners. These women see themselves and their bodies becoming spaces subject to torture, not only physical, but also psychological and emotional, tortures that have imposed inscriptions and memories on themselves. To perform this work of analyzing the speeches and memories about tortured female bodies, in a complete and meaningful way, I decided to dedicate myself to observing the narratives of four women who carry on their bodies traumas of the abuse and aggressions of which they were objects. But not only that, we are interested in interpreting how their bodies are thought, narrated, looked at and touched at the same time from the memories they carry of their pains and experiences. With regard to methodological aspects, the uniqueness of the sources present in this research demanded the use of the analysis of archeogenealogical discourses of memories, testimonies and narratives that were carried out from the end of the 1990s to the present moment. These are speeches that present an official bias, as they are witnessed to certain government agencies, even interviews given to the media.
