This paper investigates the relationship between history, music and the invention of collective enunciation spaces. We will depart artistic experiences linked to the counterculture in the 70s in the city of Recife to understand certain shifts that occurred in the way of thinking and feeling the Northeast of Brazil and are expressed in sound and poetry developed between young composers who released their first records at the time such as Zé Ramalho, Lula Cortes, Alceu Valenca, Geraldo Azevedo, Marconi Notaro, Flaviola, the band Ave Sangria, among others. First we must consider the political moment that lived the country with the tightening of censorship and repression and how this affected the artistic production. Thus, we understand the rise of alternative existential territories and marginal through which art and everyday life mixed with the creation of experimental heterotopic spaces. In the second chapter, our focus will discuss the necessity of an esoteric semantics and mystique that has spread in Brazilian culture period and that seems to be directly linked to the expansion of borders caused by so-called Space Race. As we shall see, this event reverberated in the very enunciation of the Brazilian northeast through the album Paêbiru: Caminho da Montanha do Sol, by Lula Cortes and Zé Ramalho. Finally, I will make a musical history of the Northeast during the 70s, trying to situate different regional audibility schemes, such as the Armorial Movement headed by Ariano Suassuna, but above all analyzing mixtures that these artists immersed in the psychedelic universe and counterculture developed through sound and poetic landscapes of his records, where a distinct Northeast is heard. Regarding the historiographical exercise, this research connects to what Michel Onfray claims to be a counterhistory, a history of experiences dimly lit by spotlights of traditional historiography.
