Poverty brings with itself many nuances, and therefore, a single approach can not translate all of its features. The Brazilian population historically suffers for the unfair income concentration, maximizing the poverty incidence. Thus, it is necessary to formulate public policies to cope with such problems. The Brazil Without Poverty Plan - PBSM (Decree No. 7492 of June 2, 2011), appeared with the aim of overcoming extreme poverty by the end of 2014. With various indicators and aspects of the rural population in extreme poverty, the Mato Grande region, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, started to receive the PBSM actions. The purpose is thus to identify from the perception of the Mato Grande region beneficiaries if there was effectiveness on the PBSM actions, especially with regard to the productive inclusion, analyzing thus their direct intervention in social, economic and environmental dimensions. There were applied 38 semi-structured forms and 34 interviews were conducte. At first sight, an outline of the socioeconomic profile of the beneficiary families of PBSM was created, and it showed that most of the families are represented by women with incomplete primary education, with little activity in the local association. The analyzed communities have mostly similar profiles where compliance sometimes prevails, even if they are feeling uncomfortable, the claim of improvements do not stand out. But the desire to keep and produce on their land is visible.
