SUMMARY:

Abstract:

This proposal has the general objective of comparing the effects of two treatment approaches for chronic non-specific neck pain: supervised (SE) versus non-supervised exercises (NSE). Individuals of both sexes aged between 18 and 50 years will be considered, divided into two groups: SE and NSE. The primary outcome will be neck functional capacity through the neck disability index (NDI). And the secondary will also be assessed the intensity of neck pain through the visual scale (VAS) and pressure pain threshold; strength, activation and resistance of the cervical muscles; range of motion; quality of life; kinesiophobia and catastrophizing.

This study will contribute to discovering whether the effects of the supervised exercise program influenced it as a new and less costly treatment option for this population, increasing functional capacity, promoting an improvement in pain severity and quality of life of patients with chronic neck pain. not specific and still confident to reduce the burden on health systems, reduce costs and promote the individual as the protagonist of the treatment.
